Swimming Pool Mechanical Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Pool Technician for Armond Aquatech Pools will report to the Technical Manager, performing openings and closings, assessing, and repairing swimming pool equipment as well as general swimming pool maintenance, routine service of swimming pools, and other duties as assigned by management. Weekend and overtime work will be required at the discretion of management while in season. All applicants must have a valid driver's license to be considered.
 

Position Responsibilities

  • Leading a crew of team members to open and close pools

  • Assessing and repairing swimming pool equipment

  • Installation of swimming pool equipment

  • Programming of automation systems and controls

  • Testing of pool water and balancing water to ensure a safe swimming environment for customers

  • Cleaning and maintenance of customers pools as needed

  • Maintain an ongoing inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies on company-owned vehicle

  • Communication with customers of tasks performed, any relevant issues, and or possible future maintenance

  • Communicating with management regarding job status

  • Recording of work performed via phone application
     

Position Qualification

  • Two years of experience with swimming pool equipment and maintenance

  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry and balancing of pool water

  • Applicants MUST have a valid driver’s license

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to communicate with customers, as well as be empathetic and responsive to customer concerns and needs

  • Must maintain a high degree of personal integrity, a strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment

  • Must possess a positive attitude, professional communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a clean appearance that reflects Armond Aquatech Pools
